A weaving made from community members' thumbprints and local grass, I challenge societal divisions. Rejecting the use of thumbprints as a process of criminalization, here it equalizes rather than incriminate.

Thumbprints in local clay reveal tales of incarceration and government distrust, exploded in the firing process, reflective of societal pressures of small town life. Anonymously embedded, they mirror sacrificing authenticity for necessities,.
